RUS Releases Survey Results
According to a survey conducted by the Radcliffe Union of Students (RUS) involving 224 female upperclass students, sexism on campus and in the classroom is the most significant issue faced by undergraduate women at Harvard University. Seventy percent of respondents cited sexism and the male-dominated faculty selection process as major concerns. Additionally, almost one-third of the women mentioned campus safety as a major issue, while only seven percent saw the "old-boy network" as a problem. To address these concerns, RUS proposed several initiatives, including an awareness week for women's issues, the establishment of a new women's center, increased gender sensitivity in course materials, and more female faculty appointments.| Creator |
