Following Comaroff Fallout, FAS Provides Counselors for Anthropology Department
The Harvard Anthropology department is addressing sexual harassment allegations against Professor John L. Comaroff after investigations found he violated sexual harassment policies. The department is providing professional counseling to rebuild trust and promote healing including a guide for chairs to lead sensitive conversations about departmental culture. Ever since faculty members faced backlash for questioning Harvard's investigations into Comaroff, Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Claudine Gay has emphasized the importance of addressing harassment and discrimination to foster a positive academic environment.| Creator |
