Students Plan Rally Outside Mass Hall on Sexual Assault
Undergraduates at Harvard are planning a rally outside Massachusetts Hall to demand additional Title IX training, increased funding for sexual assault counseling, and to share personal stories of sexual violence on campus. This follows a survey revealing that 31 percent of female undergraduate seniors experienced sexual misconduct during their time at Harvard. The rally organizers are calling for four specific changes: mandatory yearly sexual assault training for all undergraduates, a 50 percent increase in funding for the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response, additional uniform training for House sexual violence response tutors, and implementation of these initiatives by the spring semester. The rally aims to emphasize the urgency of these demands and ensure administrators hear the personal experiences of students.| Creator |
