Female Lead Fired From Mirandolina
Scarlett J. Marquette '93, the former female lead in the Adams House production of "Mirandolina," claimed she was fired after refusing sexual advances from male cast member Phil Munger '92. Following her refusal, Munger and fellow actor Julian F. Von Loesch '93 threatened to quit unless Marquette was dismissed, leading to her removal from the play. Marquette stated she faced increasing hostility from both men, resulting in emotional distress. The play's producer, Konstantinos Tsakonas '93, contended that personality conflicts among the actors led to the decision, and that he had to choose between losing the two male actors or Marquette. Tsakonas acknowledged Marquette's performance was satisfactory but said he could not persuade Munger and Von Loesch to relent. Marquette has hinted at possible legal action but did not confirm any plans.| Creator |
