Security Becomes An Issue
Following the rape of two students in Leverett Towers, Harvard students and administrators are calling for enhanced campus security. The Leverett House Committee held an emergency meeting and recommended a 24-hour guard for the tower area. Subsequently, Leverett House Master Kenneth R. Andrews arranged for an additional student security guard to be stationed near the towers. The committee also proposed several other safety measures, including a student escort service for scheduled campus runs. The Quincy House Committee also requested more police protection but decided against locking entryway doors during the day, citing concerns that strangers would still be let in.| Creator |
