Chanting Harvard students walk out of lecture by professor accused of groping and harassment
Over 100 Harvard University students walked out of professor John Comaroff's class following allegations that he groped and harassed three female graduate students. The protestors chanted "justice for survivors" and "time’s up" as they marched through university grounds. Comaroff, a professor of African anthropology, was placed on administrative leave last year after the allegations surfaced. The three plaintiffs, Lilia Kilburn, Margaret Czerwienski, and Amulya Mandava, filed a lawsuit in February accusing Harvard of ignoring their complaints and allowing Comaroff to intimidate them by threatening their careers. Kilburn claims she faced unwelcome kissing and groping since 2017. The lawsuit names Harvard University and its administrators as defendants, alleging the institution's indifference to harassment reports until media attention forced action.| Creator |
