CASH Asks Summers To Resign
The Coalition for an Anti-Sexist Harvard organized a protest calling for University President Lawrence H. Summers’ resignation. Around 40 students, staff, and alumni gathered in front of the Science Center, then marched to the Loeb Drama Center, where they chanted and sang against Summers. They displayed a giant "report card" failing Summers in leadership and presented him with a petition for his resignation, signed by 179 people. The protest highlighted issues like the low number of female and minority tenured professors and low pay for Harvard workers. The group emphasized the need for a women’s center and more diverse faculty.| Creator |
