Harvard Law School Students Say School Improperly Addressed Racist, Sexist Texts
Four Harvard Law School students have alleged that the school inadequately addressed a series of racist and sexist anonymous messages sent to them. The messages, which included racist taunts and insults about female students' appearances, began in December 2018. Despite filing police reports and reaching out to faculty and administrators, the students felt the investigation was insufficient. Dean of Students Marcia L. Sells stated that the school worked with Harvard University Police Department and an outside law firm but could not determine the sender. In June, Sells informed the students that the investigation was inconclusive. The Harvard Black Law Students Association criticized the school's response, highlighting the gap between the institution's stated commitments to diversity and inclusion and its actions.| Creator |
