Woman Sues Harvard For Sexual Harassment
M. Delise Battenfield, an Extension School administrator, has filed a lawsuit alleging that the University ignored and covered up her sexual harassment complaint against Donald Ostrowski, a research coordinator. Battenfield claims that Ostrowski requested sexual favors and made unauthorized physical contact in 1988, and that Dean Michael Shinagel failed to properly investigate her complaint, creating a hostile work environment. Harvard officials have denied the charges. Ostrowski, who remains employed at the Extension School, denied any wrongdoing. Battenfield's attorney, Peter W. Adler, stated they have witnesses to support the allegations and criticized Harvard's handling of the case.| Creator |
