Mass. Medical Society Censures Doctors Who Recommended Hussain

The Massachusetts Medical Society censured and placed on probation Dr. Benjamin G. Covino, Dr. Aaron J. Gissen, and Dr. John A. Wark for writing recommendation letters that omitted the rape conviction of Dr. Arif Hussain, which he used to obtain a job. This action, short of expulsion, is the MMS's harshest penalty. The MMS will report the disciplinary actions to the state licensing board but will recommend no restrictions on their licenses.
