Salon Owner Raped Student
Duncan W. Purdy, former owner of About Hair salon in Cambridge, was convicted of raping a 19-year-old Harvard undergraduate during a 2004 massage appointment and sentenced to 7-10 years in prison. Purdy, already serving a sentence for running a prostitution ring, faced additional charges after the victim came forward in 2005. Another student, Kathleen E. Hale ’09, testified that Purdy raped her in 2005 under similar circumstances.| Creator |
