Suspect Charged in Lamont Library Sexual Assault
Peter E. Benson, a former Harvard Dental School affiliate, is charged with sexual assault. The victim, a Harvard graduate student's wife, woke from a nap in Lamont Library to find Benson assaulting her. The victim also claims that the library's staff and security did not help her call the the police or stop the assailant. Despite identifying Benson to HUPD, he was not arrested immediately and allegedly assaulted a minor at a Somerville theater later.
